Product Description

The Oster OGB5901 microwave oven is powered with 900 Watt and comes with a 0.9 cubic foot interior capacity which accommodates a removable glass turntable. The unit has 10 integrated adjustable power levels and 6 auto cooking one touch menu settings for easy meal preparation including frozen dinner and reheat, beverage, pizza, popcorn and potato. Further to that the Oster OGB5901 has an express cooking and weight defrost setting. The unit is equipped with a digital timer, digital clock, child safety clock and measures 14.6 x 19 x 11.1 inches.

Okay, from a performance perspective there is no reason to complain. 900 Watts of cooking power is plenty and with 0.9 cubic foot of capacity, the OGB5901 might not be considered a large unit, but nonetheless it can easily accommodate dishes for mid-size families. The soft touch keypad is very easy to read, the operation of this microwave is intuitive. So, there is one thing that needs to be mentioned, though – while this is certainly a matter of personal taste, our microwave oven test crew did not like the appearance of this appliance. The silver body/frame is combined with a completely mirrored door. And that is…unusual. Yet again, it might be something that you just want, it certainly adds a unique touch to any kitchen setting. And as explained earlier, performance-wise the Oster OGB5901 did very well in all categories.
