The standard features include Clock, Timer, Digital Display, Defrosting, Cooking Light and a Turntable. The MW8999RD is operated via 8 standard microwave cooking programs. The door handle and child safety lock complement this stylish red microwave perfectly. This microwave weights 30 lbs. and measures: Length: 11.3 "; Width: 20.0 "; Depth: 16.1 " and is protected under at 1 year limited manufacturer warranty.
This compact red microwave oven held up pretty well during our test. Of course, the mere fact that it’s red makes it look unique and fancy. But clearly, the Emerson MW8999RD was not designed for large scale cooking but the 0.9 Cf. ft. interior alongside the 900 watts of power provide enough performance for singles and small families. Contrary to some of the customer reviews we thought the keypad and operating buttons are very intuitive and made programming very easy. The door handle is always a welcomed feature because it’s just more practical than a push-open button. Our recommendation: if you like re microwave ovens, the Emerson MW8999RD is certainly an option you should consider. The price is more than adequate for this unique looking and decently performing product.
